Ashleaf Maple Tree
(Acer negundo) Its common name is Box-Elder. Ashleaf Maple was brought to Europe and other countries. It is a medium-sized tree located at Indigo Lake. This tree was seen along a pathway. Shrubs and tall grass surround the base of the tree. The trunk’s height is short in stature. Songbirds and squirrels are attracted to its fruit seeds. Syrup can be made from the sap of the tree. It is the only maple tree to have three-five leaflets. With having 3 end leaflets, it can be mistaken for poison-ivy. In the fall, the leaves’ color ranges from yellow to red.
